Camping, water and morris minors

6 06 2010
Well, the bank holiday came and went, the Woodhouse family joined the inlaws and went on a camping trip to Kendal, wonderful rolling hills, great weather (mostly) and Mooing cows! Yes we were on a working farm so our alarm clock was the cows being milked in the morning. Shame we were only there for the weekend as i would have loved to get out more to explore the countryside for photo opps. Can’t win them all though. The lakes is a wonderful place for photograpy
and you have endless areas to goto and photograph, one of the more famous is a jetty on ullswater, you may have seen this one for sale in Ikea.

With visits the the Rheged centre in Penrith and Happy mount park in Morcambe the kids had a great time, the father in law also had an attempt at BBQing with pretty good results (mainly)

"now is it meant to be on fire?"

Happy mount park features a great water play area which is totally free (always a bonus) and it made me want to be a kid again! I did get the eldest cousin to pose for some photos though, i think he got a bit cold lol.

The father in law also drove to the campsite in his morris minor so i couldnt miss the chance to get a classic looking shot of this english icon in a field in the lakes.
